My client wanted a prototype night light of the city of Kandor from the Superman comics. The prototype was to be fully functional with the majority of the components 3D printed.
The client provided me with pictures, rough dimensions, and some direction of the style they were going for. The base, buildings, and valve were all designed to be 3D printed. While the glass dome, glass floor, air tube, and LED light were sourced off-the-shelf parts.
The end result of this project was a fully functional prototype designed and ready to manufacture. This included all files for 3D printed parts and bill of materials for outsourced items.
